Snow stops todays hang.
Exhibition Loaded

Van and the rescue car

Saab 2 also marooned

A sorry sight

My thinking that I was going to drive to Birmingham this morning and hang my exhibition now looks horrifically optimistic. Having loaded everything into the van, started it up and left the engine running to get everything nicely warm I popped indoors to get the latest state of play on the motorways (moving slowly but moving). Going outside ready to forge into the wild snowing reaches of oxfordshire I could hear that the engine had stopped dead… and it would not start. Other car to the rescue. Managed to get it to the spot where the jump starting could take place and then got it stuck as well. Bonanza. So now I’m waiting for my brilliant engineer from next door to come over and find out if the van battery needs replacing. In the process I taked to half a dozen countrymen who drive vans on a daily professional basis and they all advised me not to take the van out today. Apparently, if you get it stuck, theres no way to get a van moving again. Mother nature has a way of sticking an oar in, so my desert pictures, shot in 100 degree sun are today frozen in to our chilly chilternian snowscape.
